The Lord of the Rings Online is a free-to-play MMORPG. It utilizes a bit of a dated form of tab-target combat, but not enough where it really feels too old to enjoy. The game utilizes segregated zones, allowing players incredibly large, detailed areas to explore filled with characters and monsters from The Lord of the Rings Online lore.
Many active players only play 2 hours or less a day, many paying customers play just a couple evenings a week, and they all play at different times of day. Did you really think all active players play daily and at the same time?
Game difficulty does not scale well. The universe feels like Lord of the Rings, the pressure to move fast can be really stressful, and 100% if you like minis this game has great ojes to paint. Descent plays almost the same but does a better job of building inspiring maps to play around in.
However, it ultimately fails as an adaptation and a survival game. Jonathan Rhys Davies. Faithful to the source material. Gets a bit more enjoyable in co-op. Tedious, old-fashioned survival

If you are a big fan of the series it might be worth a go. All the places are there and there is a lot of lore. Treat it like a solo game though. It's one of those games where most activities are at max level because the people playing it have been at it for years and have a dozen alts.
